The Roots of Kindful Art
My name is Allison Ryan
Kindful art was born through a COVID-era past time that turned into a full blown addiction of the fusion between flowers and art. All botanicals used are hand picked and pressed, then worked into hand made pieces for a multi- faceted look.
My passion for flowers stems from a young age, when my grandmother taught me how to press flowers from her garden she loved. Pressing became a fun way to spend time together and was always an adventure. Over the years, I also spent a lot of time helping and learning from my mother in her very own botanical garden at my childhood home in Sauquoit, NY. Now she helps me grow, pick and press all the flowers used in my artwork. She has since picked the official work title of "flower girl."
I now reside in New Hartford, NY, with my three beautiful children, and supportive husband. When I am not pressing flowers you will find me skiing, running, or playing a round of golf with my family and friends. I also work as an Occupational Therapist, where I love working with children and families just as much as I enjoy pressing flowers.
Kindful art started as a hobby and has grown into my passion. The name KIND-FUL came from my son Daniel who one day accidently combined the words "kind" and "mindful" and so the word "kindful" was born. I am here to help you design your very own, unique piece of art. I especially LOVE working with bridal bouquets. Message me about your custom order today.
And to keep with spirit of being "kindful" I donate a portion of all my proceeds to local charities
